Stuck for what to wear for work or on a business occasion? Or maybe you would like to look a little more formal in the way that you dress but without losing any of your natural verve? Well, not to worry. Follow my simple rules below, and you will be climbing the corporate ladder, and directing and delegating in next to no time!

I know that working in an office and waking up early to get ready isn’t the most inspiring part of the day. But remember, it’s all about looking great so that you can give yourself an extra dash of self-confidence and positivity – whilst inspiring confidence in those around you too.

So let’s have a look at Fernanda’s Rules about looking your best in the boardroom:

Fernanda’s Rule Number 1: Don’t wear TOO much BLACK. Let’s explore what you have in your wardrobe and use the great colours you have in there to mix and match.

Fernanda’s Rule Number 2: A pencil skirt is always SEXY: a 100% rule, so go for it! But also select a GREAT PAIR OF SHOES. You will feel sexier wearing those heels that you love. And even if it might hurt a little at the end of the day, it’ll be worth it (you can always kick back in slippers and pyjamas when you get home!!) Remember, you are a LADY climbing the corporate ladder, and a sharp pair of heels is a statement that will go a long way.

Fernanda’s Rule Number 3: If you do decide to go for clothes in the same or similar colours (as I have done here in white), then always MATCH THE SCARF WITH THE SHOES! It’s a great combination and will add the extra sparkle that might otherwise have been missing. And as you can see it makes corporate life in London look a little more vibrant with RED and WHITE, rather than black and grey.
