ALWAYS LOOK YOUR BEST (EVEN IF YOU’RE POPPING OUT FOR AN ICE CREAM!)

There is no real time or season for me when it comes to ice cream! It can be 10am on a crisp Sunday morning in October, and I will still be ready, willing and able to pop out and try a new flavour or two (or even savour an old favourite if I really feel like it!)

I mention popping out for an ice cream though for a very good reason. The urge to do so is something that crops up out of nowhere. You never really plan ahead to go out for ice cream as you would to a restaurant for lunch. It just kind of happens really!

The question is though, when this situation does arise – like when your bestie calls up and suggests ice cream and a gossip – what do you actually wear?

My own take on this is that you should always aim to be at your best. No matter the time of day, day of the week, or location.

When the call or text arrives summoning you to taste a scoop or two of your favourite sweetened dairy products – and you happen to be make-up free and slumbering around at home in an old t-shirt – I would always suggest you make an effort to step out of your front door and at your head-turning best!

Because the thing is, you never know who you might bump into. Maybe an old crush? Or someone from work who you’re trying to impress for a promotion? Or anyone for that matter who should never see you as a mess!
